Hours and hours spent drying your hair, yet the result always leaves something to be desired...maybe you're not using the correct hair dryer or, perhaps, you're using it without the air concentrator, commonly referred to as the “nozzle.” The latter, in fact, is an essential accessory if you want a hair stylist-proof result.
There's one thing, however, that you need to pay attention to-not all hair dryer nozzles are the same: for example, they differ in size and attachment and, ultimately, must be compatible with the hair dryer you're using.
The types of hair dryer nozzle: differences between wide and narrow concentrator
There is a hair dryer nozzle and a hair dryer nozzle. The differences lie in the size and the results you want to achieve:
- a larger nozzle allows a higher quality of air to escape for quicker and faster drying
- a smaller nozzle, on the other hand, concentrates air compactly and allows for perfect, defined styling
How to use a hair dryer with an air concentrator
The nozzle of a hair dryer, beyond the differences between models, is used more for drying straight or wavy hair--for curls, a diffuser must be used.
But how to use it properly? First, to get a good result, start by drying the hair upside down, pointing the air jet of the hair dryer toward the roots. When they are almost dry, add the nozzle to the hair dryer and use a round brush to shape the hair. At this stage, the air jet should follow the direction of the brush, from the roots toward the ends.
