For several years now, PARLUX has always been at the forefront in protecting its international rights and patents and preventing its products from being counterfeited.
In fact, in the past, Italian and foreign counterfeiters have received numerous complaints for having produced, displayed and marketed PARLUX counterfeits. For the reasons stated above, the Italian company is forced, against its will, to report to the competent authorities any possible illicit activity which, as provided by Italian law, can also have serious consequences.
A recent sentence of three months in prison was handed down by the Court of Bologna to an oriental counterfeiter who, during the Cosmoprof 2010 fair, had exhibited for marketing the counterfeits of some hairdryers, models, Parlux 2800 and Parlux 3500. In addition to the seizure of the goods and the stand, he was obviously reported and the consequent bureaucratic and legislative procedures have now led to his being judged and sentenced.
Reporting someone is always unpleasant but it is a consequence of illegal actions that, like counterfeiting, inevitably bring with them and that PARLUX would not want anyone to take, if not to protect exclusively its own interests as well as those of the distributing countries and hairdressers.
